Our Discover Spain Series with Lee Isaacs DipWSET returns this month as we head southern Spain. Valencia conjures up images of summer holidays, oceans of oranges, and waves of paella. This doesn’t even scratch the surface of this ancient land. First settled by the Greeks in the fifth century BCE, Valencia became an autonomous region (and is recognised as a nationality in some quarters) in 1238!

Wine and history are so crucially intertwined for us here at l’Oculto, and we have plenty here to choose from. Following a welcome drink, Lee will guide us through five wines that cover the viticultural richness and diversity of Valencia. You can expect unusual grape varieties, historic styles that have suddenly become popular again, and some interesting geography.

As with all our tastings, each wine will be paired with specially matched dishes from our menu. These tastings have become incredibly popular and sell out quickly. Book now to ensure your place as we discover that the future is bright, and maybe it is orange…

Lee Isaacs DipWSET is a certified wine educator who has taught and lectured around the world. He is our wine ambassador and brings with him over 2 decades of wine knowledge and presenting experience.
