Galicia is a community very involved in the wine industry, it has more than 33,200 hectares of vineyards, which represents 3.5% of the national surface and involves more than 219,000 winegrowers register by the CCAA in 2021. Not in vain, it is the autonomous community with the largest number of winegrowers.

Women have always been present, especially as labour in the vineyard, more than in the winery. The viticulture work such as harvesting and pruning is done more by women than by men. This could be attribute to emigration, which in the past forced women to take charge of wine in Galicia. In the past it was not very well seen that the properties of the wineries were in female hands, and the oenological issue of transformation into wine was usually done by men, or at least, the property was in the name of a man, even if it was the woman who made it.

Women have always been rooted in all the steps to produce a wine but they have been always kept in the shadows and this must be changed, which is why this tasting is to honor some of these women.

As with all our tastings, each wine will be paired with specially matched dishes from our menu. These tastings have become incredibly popular and sell out quickly. Book now to ensure your place and CHOOSE when you buy the TICKET "Collection" not delivery.
